Down-to-earth nostalgia: Charmingly located within Utrecht's brick-built historic centre, close to a picturesque gracht, this atmospheric and longish, slightly somber, 'study-style' antiquarian bookstore is hard to miss. On offer are miscellaneous fictional and factual books, the latter being mostly from the fields of history, theology, philosophy, gardening, the fine arts, architecture and many others. There can be mostly found literature in Dutch, English, French and German. Actually, this shop resembles a kind of treasure box. Those who are willing to spend some time in this rejoiceful location, surely, will discover something subjectively interesting and/or dear - and she or he will be astounded as well as deeply pleased to find at least one printed object she or he would never have dreamed of purchasing before crossing the threshold. Additionally, a fairly large amount of antiquarian CDs is at hand here, especially with classical content. The prices are adequat and thus not really cheap.

Good small shop with a lot of art books in English, french and dutch. All the atmosphere is pretty cool.

A cute and cosy bookstore with something for everyone

Fantastic bookstore! Great selection of books; extensive poetry, philosophy & classicist sections. Fairly priced: keep in mind that for these categories, not a great many of books becomes available. Lovely owner, who has great taste in music as well :) perfect spot to spend an hour or so browsing.

They have beautiful books but they know what they are worth.
