Made an unforgettable trip to Northern Ethiopia with Mayke. A beautiful country because of the wide variety of landscapes, the friendly people with their special cultures, the contact with the local population, the extensive coffee ceremonies, the life in the countryside, the colorful markets, the beautiful rock churches in Lalibela ... .etc. In short, too many to mention. The guidance by Mayke was more than fantastic: very involved, informative, personal. Nice group size and luxurious accommodations for African standards. Highly recommended for anyone who wants something different from the beaten track.

Made a fantastic trip through Ethiopia. The rock churches in Lalibela were the reason for us; but the country has so much more to offer. What a beautiful nature and culture! Mayke is the most personable, patient, and caring tour guide you could wish for. She travels with you to share her experiences with you, and her curiosity is very infectious. Together with her you really make contact with the population and get to know the country up close. Definitely recommend!

Mayke van Mayke Tours is unique! She knows how to make a party out of every trip! I have been able to make various trips and enjoyed them optimally: you travel in small groups, visit special places and on paths that are not often used. A spontaneous meeting with the indigenous population and introduction to their customs is very common. I enjoyed her knowledge, her contact skills and especially her generous laugh! Join her on an adventure and you have the trip of a lifetime!
