I have never been a fan of the gym or group training until I started at Crossfit Naarden. It doesn't matter what your level of fitness is, they welcome you with open arms. They offer a personal touch, truly care about your progression and everyone is so helpful. As a beginner, I get more enthusiastic after every lesson! (Location is also beautiful!)
You might be surprised by the lack of mirrors and machines that makes lots of lights and bleeps but you find everything you need for a good workout.
I joined some 18 months ago with no experience in CF but the coaches together with frequent clinics will motivate you and help you master some skills (rope jumping, some light gymnastics and weight lifting). More important are the members and the key reason why I go on a frequent basis. It’s sometimes competitive (it’s CF!) but always respectful and with good laugh that helps you go through the workout.
Once you realise that every workout session is with no more than 10 members and 1 or 2 coaches, you will realise that this is another game than the usual ‘no-obligation’ gym seen in many other places.
Before I started at CrossFit Naarden, I trained independently in the gym with little variation in my training. At one point I noticed that I was making little progress and I felt the need to learn new things. I also wanted to get stronger.
The first time I stepped into CrossFit Naarden, I saw exercises that I thought I would never be able to perform. Despite this, I have pushed my boundaries through the excellent guidance and encouragement of other members. I have done exercises that I never expected. And there is so much to learn!
During the WODs, there is a lot of attention for a good warm-up, the right technique and mobility. Of course it is also just hard work, but that actually benefits you. The functional exercises make you more mobile, more resilient and you gain more self-confidence in daily life!
The mutual atmosphere with other members is positive. Regardless of whether you set a new personal best or come in last on your gums, you can always count on encouragement from your fellow athletes.
Besides the WODs, there are options in the field of nutrition, specific training. Still not sure if CrossFit is something for you? The threshold is much lower than you think!
Crossfit Naarden is a very nice crossfit box where you will be guided very well from the start. Crossfit could scare you, but this is not necessary. Crossfit can be adjusted to your own level like no other sport. Where you still follow a training as a group. You will be well guided in this. The result is that everyone at every level finishes the lesson tired and satisfied, where you get a little better every time! The trainers are very personally involved and there is a pleasant atmosphere. Come and have a look!
I participated in the CrossFit challenge at Crossfit Naarden. This was a great success for me. We formulated a clear objective together in advance, which was continuously monitored (and adjusted if necessary) during the challenge. I have received guidance on both my eating behavior and the technical content of the Crossfit element. I have experienced this guidance as very knowledgeable, professional and personal and this has helped me enormously not only to achieve the objective, but even to score well better than planned.
