New Year's Eve around 11 am there was already no more bread. Such a shame because it is delicious bread but it is really not possible to sell out that early

Reasonably smart on a perfectly normal question. Too bad because they sell delicious stuff. Will be the Christmas rush.

I was not paying attention and went home with an Easter bread of € 14.50. Now I am all for money but only € 14.50? Still a story, yes, but there is real food and that is expensive !! True but not so expensive, Truus .. I know I don't have to buy it, but this is very cheap. In short, I am a "local hero" buyer. So 3 times a week bread at the bakery, 2x a week meat at the butcher etc. But no longer with them ...

Store clerk was friendly over the phone, but when I got into the store no more. My questions about the frozen pies were answered with difficulty and in an uninterested tone. After I had made a choice with doubt and wanted to exchange my purchase within a few minutes afterwards, the store employee said that this was no longer possible and she started an unreasonable story that the cake was already in the defrosting process. While we were not even 2 minutes further. I then called her supervisor to discuss this properly, but I am told that Ms agrees with the blunt tone of her employee, since I have been in the store for fifteen minutes (whether or not half an hour). I have not been in this store for more than 10 minutes and apart from that I was not aware that there was a time limit in this bakery. Didn't expect this from Frans Mekking. I'd rather go somewhere where they treat me properly and respectfully.

Good quality bread, friendly staff and reasonable prices in relation to what you buy, but they are often through their stock before 12 o'clock in the afternoon. It does not matter whether you go on a Saturday or a weekday, they are always sold out. Unless you can buy your groceries between 9 and 10 o'clock in the morning, it often does not pay to go to Mekking. Fortunately, the Jumbo has guaranteed a lot of sorts of bread until 6 p.m. Mekking is a good, but outdated, baker.
