Big room but old. Nice surroundings. Organic toiletries. Personally I disgust being teased. After having paid a "full price" for the room we were still charged with the tourist taxes. That's almost the difference with the next grade hotel, which I would have gladly paid for, especially for being treated respectfully and informed properly. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I really have the highest regard for those "old concepts" such as respect and seriousness. My bad probably.

Hotel was good but the service in the restaurant was terrible. Waited 2 hours for our meal and the order was wrong. We were too hungry to send it back

Just for the record, I only used the hotel service and didn't golf. This is not the fault of the hotel in any way. I'm simply a defective human that can't properly swing with my hips if my life depended on it. The Hampshire Golfhotel is of a peculiar shape. That being said, it wasn't unpleasant. The circular shape was kind of fun, though it did cause me to have a long path to my room. The hotel itself came off as fairly snazzy in a very 80's way. The insides are painted a clean white and the staircase that accents the main area promises luxury and comfort. I didn't look around the outside too much, as my arrival was a consequence of poor GPS signal rather than a love for golf. I lugged my luggage to my room and opened the door with a physical key. As in a key shaped piece of metal, which I'm very unfamiliar with. Looking into my room my first impression was that it was pretty nice. I flicked on the lights to find that they were of the variety that have a delayed brightness that flickers on and gives temporary blindness to wary travelers. There was a huge window on the far end of the fairly large room and two (twin?) beds pushed together in the corner. There was also a electric kettle and tea/coffee sans decaf, to my great dissatisfaction. Also, the still wet inside of the kettle looked a bit like it was worn or molding. I didn't bother to figure out which. It was late, and no decaf meant I wasn't going to enjoy a hot drink before bed. A minor gripe, but still. The bathroom was a pleasant surprise. White white tile was all over the medium sized room, and against the wall was a very clean looking bathtub. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I certainly like a hot bath after a cold motorcycle ride. I promise you, the hot bath melted away a lot of the anxiety that resulted from my navigational woes. Early in the morning I packed up and headed to breakfast, which isn't included in the cost of the room. That's okay, because the breakfast well exceeded that of the continental varieties of breakfast that are so common in the United States. Instead, there was a breakfast drink bar (malfunctioning) and some very delicious looking yogurts, breads, fruits, and cheese. The cook made me an everything omelet, which wasn't quite worth the 15€ price tag of breakfast but was certainly delicious. After I was finished eating, I made my way downstairs to collect my deposit fee, check out, and be on my way. Overall it was a good experience. I would definitely stay there again for the price I paid. It's probably a better stay for someone that actually golfs rather than a lost American motorcyclist, but I definitely had some good sleep in my huge room at the Golfhotel. Thank you for providing this anxious and lost traveller with a reasonably priced room, Hampshire Golfhotel. I wish you the best of luck in your golf/hotel endeavors!

The room is big, the view is amazing. But without air conditioning and it’s really hot. The room is also a bit old and without a fridge.
