Found this lovely gem on my first visit to Groningen and was not dissapointed. I was surprised to find a vegan macaron that tasted like the real deal. Wish they had one in London. Thank you to the owners for their amazing hospitality. 😍🇳🇱👨‍🍳

Despite all the great reviews, we were rather underwhelmed by the taste of the macarons. They might be the best in Groningen, but that doesn't say much. For us there was a lingering undertone of artificial flavours shining through which ruined the experience a little. The buttercream at times was too buttery, leaving us with a saturated fatty aftertaste. Overall, they are not bad, but also not great.

I was so happy to find out that Smaakeron has a large range of vegan macarons! They are super delicious and reasonably priced. Would recommend 10/10 :)

Loved these macaroons. So delicious. But they will definitely stay my little treat from time to time, since macaroons are (in general) a little expensive. But delicious. Can't wait for my next macaroon treat. Which will definitely be here. Then have so many different tastes. And the staff is super friendly.
