West Gym

I trained in this gym for 3 years and I was very happy because of the gym was so close to my house and the friendships that I made with people there. After the management changed and they switched sports equipment and built a new decor, they started taking the value of what they spent on renewing the gym from the players, when At the beginning of March 2020, I could not go to the gym because of the Corona, and in April I asked on the phone to cancel my subscription in the club and they did not respond, and after two months in the month of juli I asked to cancel the subscription again and they did not respond and in August I came to the gym and asked The employee canceled my subscription and did not take money from me compulsorily because I did not want to come again, so he told me that he was not responsible for the money and he could not control that, and he gave me the phone number of the owner of the gym, and every time I called, no one answered, I did not benefit from the visit after that I sent an email and they did not respond and kept taking money from me in an unjustified manner, and the last time a nice employee received me and canceled my subscription after I paid the monthly subscription for a period of 6 months without any interest .. I know that a 6-month subscription may equal 100, which is an amount Very cheap in Amsterdam and not worthwhile All this explanation, but I felt a lack of respect in dealing with those in charge of the gym, and I will not repeat this experience again .. I would recommend to avoid this gym at all costs. I signed up for a 6 month membership in February 2020 at the 6 month term rate of 39.95 per month (the gym has different fees depending on length of contract). During the Corona virus crisis, the gym was closed for a good portion of the 6 months but I was fine to support a local business in this difficult time. In December, I reviewed my bank statements and noticed that the monthly charges were still coming out of my account 4 months after the end of the contract (an additional 160 EUR). I contacted the gym requesting that they cancel with immediate effect but they said it was my fault (nice) for not cancelling a 6 month expired contract. They refused to even cancel my membership unless I filled out a form in person at the gym (they refused by email), and even then they won't refund any additional charges. I would suggest others to not sign up for any 'membership' - you will be charged well after the period you signed up for. In my case, I was charged 10-11 months for a 6 month contract...

Discreet gym, good value for money. Maybe a bit small sometime you feel you need more space. The staff is kind and friendly.
