Excellent meal good service and served items not on the menu when requested. Lovely atmosphere. Food well prepared and cooked.
The poort van assen at first glance is just another cafe. Im glad to say i was wrong; not only is it a fantastic place to relax with friends and have a snack during the day, but they produce the most amazing meals!
Portion size is fantastic. The food was presented with care and attention of a Mich. Starred restaurant!.
Meat fish and vegetarian options. Staff were friendly, courteous and made it a relaxing evening out. A must try for those visiting assen.

Today we went to Assen for lunch, we gladly went to plein10 very pleasantly received by the staff neatly with mouth masks but unfortunately there were already 30 guests inside. After walking we arrived at the gate of Assen. Plenty of space and were neatly received but unfortunately the staff had no masks. Still ordered to sit and drink, hesitated to get up and go somewhere else where the staff thinks about their fellow man.
Because of our friends we still sat down to eat with the necessary annoyances. Rather go to a catering establishment that does take it seriously and is worthy of continuing to exist in these times, because these people probably do not care if they treat it like that. COVID19 AND HORECA it depends on how you deal with it.
