Today I went well again at this thrift store, I prefer to come and have a look every week! I never leave empty-handed, my friend I was with managed to score a “retro” clock and nice bowls for any nuts / snacks. I myself bought a wooden plateau here which I now use to set up my salt lamp with loose salt stones and fragrance sticks. The plateau was just a bit too dark for my interior, so when I got home I immediately grabbed sandpaper to sand it down and this gave a very nice effect (see photo). Staff is always very friendly and ready for a chat. Price wise this is really good too, I often see similar items elsewhere for maybe 2-3x double the price. Really recommend!

Het Struunhuus is my favorite of all thrift shops in Assen. There is a nice and quiet atmosphere there and there is a lot to buy for little money.

In itself a nice thrift store, what I found sloppy was that none of the staff wore mouth masks and were all together (too many people) drinking coffee close together. Not smart in this day and age. Again, some things were very high priced which really wasn't worth it, sorry.
