SportCity Den Haag New Babylon

The customer service is really bad. They simply never respond to my email. They just ignore it. They only send an email when they want to say something to you but don't listen to your opinion. VERY DISSAPOINTING!

Clean gym with a nice sauna/steamroom. Nice and friendly staff, specially Brian/Gosia. Equipment is modern, but I am missing quite some things like a smith machine, face-down hamstring machine. Also only 1 dualset of cables. :(

You have to try really hard to get a bad review from someone who is not even a customer. But they managed. I run bootcamps on Malieveld in the late afternoon. I am there regularly with my clients. A little slow on the uptake, Sportcity started running their big Les Mills lessons as well, with their big speaker and big attitude. Music for everyone, whether you like it or not. But that's still ok i guess. Since about a month or so there is a new instructor. She is oblivious to the concept of personal space. No matter if you are there earlier, she will always go to the same spot. If your lesson is close to her spot, tough luck. Same agonising music volumes, and recently also a microphone at full blast. It's louder than your thoughts and she screams in it as well, thus voiding the microphone of any purpose, really. I asked her politely one time to turn it down just a bit. She did but clearly did not learn from the experience because next time over same shenanigans. I tried to call Sportcity and ask them to remind their instructors that Malieveld is a shared space (with all considerations attached). Also did not work. So here we are... Completely antisocial behaviour. Malieveld is a big empty space, place your lesson a bit further away or, mindbending, orient the speaker in the opposite direction of my lesson, face the other way. Heartless, mindless, bad. All i can do is share my experience far and wide.
