Before the lockdown we had a nice coffee and apple pie.

I was there for a high tea. Cozy garden in the Dutch polder landscape. The snacks are tasty, but the experienced high tea purists could possibly have something to criticize. I am a high tea amateur, but have not been able to register a scone with jam and whipped cream. A lot of whipped cream with bastogne biscuit grit. The service is sweet. The walkers who block the roads on the way to the garden on a nice day are less sweet. This is probably because they are retired and therefore have less contact with other people. Cyclists continue to ride quietly for 7 kilometers on the winding polder dyke. No e-bike, no only slow rotating pedals. After some time and a few ugly words, I had found a faster route, but for that I had to drive exactly over all the cyclists and hikers in front of me. My wife prevented me from doing this, so I reluctantly, but limited to non-stop horns and ordinary verbal abuse. The way back was better and took much less time. The garden was full of nice glassware to hang at home. It is for sale and looks cozy. I myself appreciate that entrepreneurship. The owner of the garden is friendly. In the toilet I was surrounded by witches. This probably has to do with Oudewater, the town where many witches were found to be too light and subsequently decommissioned in a traditional manner. But that is about the Oudewaterse witsenwaag and that is exactly what it is not about.

Dear girls, fantastic food with high tea as a favorite. Really a beautiful environment where you can enjoy and relax optimally. I like to come here with family and friends and meanwhile they also come here with their family. It is a place where you want to be every day!
