We really enjoyed our two nights at the Ruige Weide B&B, Nicole is super nice and took her time to share tips for the surroundings and pointed out nice restaurants and tea gardens.
My wife booked two bicycles as well, which were delivered at the B&B. The surroundings are stunning (to our opinion) but not really suited for walking. They're perfect for cycling and there are several beautiful routes in the leaflets.
We cycled the Bourgondier route (lot of cakes and tea), the Castle route (guess what we saw) and the Yellow belly route (which is about the history of the area) All these routes take you through and around the local villages and nature reserves. Absolutely stunning.
The upstairs sleeping room was nice, and has an adjacent bathroom.
The downstairs has a breakfast / reading room where breakfast is served at the time you want. There's an atrium open space next to that which is flooded with light most of the day. Plenty of magazines present when you're lingering around.
Due to Covid-19 we were still a bit hesitant on traveling far so we spent these two days as a mini holiday in the Netherlands, it was less than half an hour away from our home but it felt like we were abroad.
