They are all super nice and even when returning the bike lee 30 minutes or so later...they are still flexible and turn away an eye and not charge you extra. Also very simple process and all...id advice this service for anyone....plus u can return the bike in any other shop from theirs and since they are all over Amsterdam, this is pretty handy!!!! :)

I went here twice for bakfiets repair, and both times I experienced poor or incorrect service: recently my lights stopped working, and they told me I needed a new front light €65+new wire run to the rear light €150. I am out of work and couldn't afford it, so I repaired it myself....guess what, all I needed to do was reconnect the two wires back into the magneto (generator) and all lights worked!!! It just cost my time. Another time was for maintenance: lube, adjust cables, chain tightening, etc. (my gears would slip after "7"). Got it back and my brake cables still loose, and gear 7 still slipped but I was charged full price for maintenance! I went in another time to have new grips installed on another bike, an when they were done, the grips were installed poorly and both my bell and gear shifter were moved into horrible locations. Again, I fixed it myself!!! This place is scary bad with regards to bike repair!

The shop employees were extremely rude and impolite. They didn’t want to help us and talked to us like we’re the dumbest people on earth then told us to go rent the bikes somewhere else.

Rented a bike to get around Amsterdam easier due to my hotel’s bike being very expensive with hard seats for anyone 5’7” and above. Black Bikes has an array to choose from and me being on the shorter side they had bikes that was perfect for me. The transaction was smooth and quick.
