Under watermill double waterwheel. The history of the mill goes back to 1275, when built as a ban mill. The first written record is from 1420. A bill to restore the mill, mentions the year 1485. The mill was used as a corn and oil mill. The current mill building and its house dating from 1776. In that year remodeled the existing buildings completely and was also a farm and a brewery to build.

A special watermill in the middle of the Geuldal, lying on a mill branch of the Geul. The watermill has 2 Poncelet water boards. The largest water wheel is a center lettuce grade and has a center line of 5.3 meters and the smaller under water wheel has a center line of 4.8 meters.

Beautiful windmill in a beautiful environment. On the edge of Wijlre next to the Brand brewery. Been twice now and the wheel turned both times. Nice view over the Geul. Nice place to take pictures of the mill. Not sure, but I don't think the mill can be visited. Rooms are rented out.
