Nice to have been once, not very special.
Nice area for walking.
Nice piece with special information about years, and really years ago.
Wonderful, walking among the cows and enjoying the beautiful views.
Only place in the Netherlands where rocks from the Carboniferous surface. This is rock from 300 to 350 million years old, in which fossil plants and animals dating from far before the first dinosaurs have been found. Discovered by the Amsterdam geologist Eli Heimans, who started tourism to Epen and the upper Geul valley through his book "In our Krijtland".
