Beautiful accommodation, in a gorgeous little town, located just opposite a peaceful canal with a quiet pub/ restaurant at the end of the road. 4 of us stayed here as tourists from the UK, attending a nearby Automotive Event, often coming in late or very early with modified cars, taking care to be respectful of noise, but not a word was mentioned. It is a very small, cosy, converted barn, semi detached from the owners home. The bathroom was perfect; clean, new, with amazing power shower. (No towels or toilet cleaning items present). We didn't try out the cooking facilities, which were part of a small kitchen, with small fridge, sink, twin hot plate/ electric hob plate and many plates, glasses, cutting boards, cooking equipment etc. Of course, a kettle and cups too. Comfy sofa and seating with two tables, completes the lower level, and most of the barn. It is lovingly decorated with soft owl toys, board games, books and nature watching accessories. The bedrooms are accessible up a strong and sturdy ladder, and are made up from the triangular roof of the barn. The roof is split into two rooms, and consist of a recessed double mattress each room, a little space to put bags, and an electrical socket and lamp, with Bedside table in each room also. There is room outside to park 3 or 4 cars, being cautious not to block in the owners. One can sit under the car port. Surrounded by fields and wildlife, the additional part to this accommodation was the resident barn owl. He has a small entrance to the front of the barn, and his home is concealed within a box that enters the barn, opposite the bedrooms, you can see photographed. We stayed 2 nights, and heard him only once. From around 1am to 3am. Brought up with birds of prey, this fascinated me, but they do provide ear plugs if it is a problem for you! The Hostess was lovely, warm greetings and inviting, very happy to help. Will always look for the availability when touring Holland again, this place stole my heart 💙

A cozy and calm place. My colleague and I were able to relax here after our busy project days. Slept wonderfully and enjoyed the peace and the view. The kitchen is well equipped. Sufficient crockery, pans, cutlery, but also spices, etc. The bathroom is new and clean. The bedrooms are simple and very cozy, feels a bit like a box bed. The owners are wonderfully friendly and hospitable. You can even collect eggs in the chicken coop in the morning! I will definitely come back :)

Great small guest house. We had a wonderful weekend in the little owl nest.
