Worst. Gym. Ever.
Due to COVID I had to move out of the Netherlands back to my home country. For months I have been trying to cancel my membership with Basicfit, with no success.
Their so called service chat on their website is only available in dutch, and emails are obviously being ignored and never answered!
They simply only care about the money; that probably being the reason I am not allowed to cancel my membership and still being charged, even though I don't have a chance to use the gym!

They have everything you need and it is never too crowded.
Last year looked around for a good gym in Leeuwarden. Been with a few who had good reviews. At one of them the parking lot was full except for 1 spot around the time I would like to exercise, after work around 5/6 pm. Furthermore, gyms too small with too many people, so I would often have to wait for the device I would like to use. I also found a lot of memberships that are twice as expensive as basic fit. I was not so keen to work out at a large chain, but eventually took a look at basic fit at the central station, which is close to my work by the way. After a short tour decided to take advantage of the free trial period. I still exercise there every day after work. With pleasure. So I can now give a review that I really support! Friendly staff, clean, many appliances and not crowded. Even on days when more people are exercising, you don't have to wait (long) for the device of your choice. Not even during corona, now that only half of the devices are available. Neat changing room with 2 showers that are rarely used but which I often use after exercising. Just a very pleasant environment for sports, provides a lot of relaxation after a day of work!
