The Famous Bakery BV

Came across this company at the Horecava in the Rai. They are the distributor for the Cheesecake Company products in Europe, but they also distribute other products. We were interested in one of their products to be able to offer it to our customers. A nice gentleman by the name of Michael referred us to his colleague, Mr Albert Misier. Mr Misier was the sales accountant responsible for our area. We sent an email to him, but got no response. So after a week we called and he answered the phone. We explained what we were interested in and he seemed to have seen my email. (But did not respond) We asked if we could get a sample of the product we were interested in in order for us to test it in our own setting (cafe). But that was too much to ask. “You already tried in at the Horecava, haven’t you?! It is the same product!”, is what we got as a response. But he would see if he could get us a sample. We also asked him to send us some info and prices over the email. After another week with no updates and no email, as was promised. Decided to send another email, perhaps his email was misplaced. Got a response that his email was not misplaced. “The email shall to be sent tomorrow.” The next day no email. Waited for a week and decided to call him again. After several times calling him with no response and false promises to be called back. I finally got a hold of him. Baffled by the lack of response and the decency to reply to emails and calls, I asked if he was the right person to talk to in order to become a potential customer. He was immediately offended and was not ashamed to express himself in a rude matter. When mentioning that I was a potential customer deserving of a better customer service and asking him why he chose to treat us like this. He chuckled called me "a demanding customer" and said that the Famous Bakery will not take us as a customer. Then I asked if he was the owner and if I could talk to his manager. He hang up the phone. Long story, but worst customer service we have ever experienced. Perhaps the Famous Bakery does not like doing business with smaller companies. Or maybe they are very picky to whom they want to sell their product. Like their slogan says: Enjoy the sweetness of exclusivity. With an emphasis on exclusivity. If they believe you are not a worthy customer you will treated with disrespect or even rudeness. As the Famous Bakery represents many big brands this type of service could cost these brands their name. We will never do business with these guys.
