I am grateful they offer an emergency service in the evenings and weekends, but when my dog has been poisoned I really wish they could skip the 20 minutes of irrelevant questions from the student vet about the dog's lifestyle and history before they fetch the actual vet. Because it is a poisoning and time is critical - and the treatment is very straightforward. So this was stressful. Also I'm not happy that the vet shaved the dog's leg before giving an injection, now she has a large bald patch which she will be stuck with for weeks, and I have never had this with another vet. Also I was left alone in the room to clean up the dog's vomit from the floor, I assume this was because the vet was multi-tasking as it was a busy afternoon, but i was not actually given any cleaning materials so I just used the paper towels and soap on the wall (intended for hand washing). Update: my dog now has dermatitis where they shaved her arm and won't stop licking it. I'm really upset when this could have been avoided by not shaving in the first place. She's a short haired dog! I hope my dog never needs a vet on the weekend again... Update 2 months later: we needed 2 trips to my own vet for steroid creams and sprays to stop her chewing her arm. Finally the dermatitis calmed down but her fur has not grown back and my vet thinks it will never grow back. THANK YOU FOR PUTTING AN UNNECESSARY BALD PATCH ON MY BEAUTIFUL GREYHOUND. DO NOT SHAVE GREYHOUNDS WHEN IT'S NOT NECESSARY!!!!

I unfortunately had a terrible experience there. They had the wrong patient file for my cat Gijsje and thus ended up getting blood from her for nothing, they kept her sober which made her lose weight (even though she's already underweight) and fed her food *against* her allergy when I had insisted that she is on a strict diet. They did not take responsibility and say that they had the wrong patient file, I just deduced that afterward from all the mishaps that happened. The doctor then gave advice that was irrelevant because she did not know the history of my cat. Then the doctor said she will call in 2 weeks to check up and see if we need to start meds, but no one ever called. It's really unprofessional and money-driven. On a side note, I ended up curing my cat's epilepsy through a diet (which of course the doctors don't really know about). I'm doing whatever possible to avoid going there or having friends/relatives take their pets there.

Kind people, good products, fast service

Very good doctors and cheap compared to Amsterdam. If you can go here do. They were very good. Students examined my dog first then the doctor. The students were very good with my dog. I was late because I’ve never driven to Utrecht and there was a strike that day but they were super understanding and got me in right away.

So friendly and capable.
