We made a reservation for 1 of their houses, but due to the still on going covid19-pandemic we of course cannot go there now. We cancelled our reservation early and they refused to pay back the entire sum of money. They kept €640 or some for themselves. Apparently where they are from covid19 doesnt exist.

Of-course we all know that we are in unprecedented and critical times. Corona is a challenge for everyone and we write this post understanding that this is surely the case. We booked our house many months before anyone heard of Covid19 and in anticipation of my wife's 60th Birthday. The house was confirmed and our money deducted from our account. Heerlijkehuises then cancelled our house referencing Corona but without explanation. As time progressed and Corona restrictions were removed, the house continued to be offered on their web-site and with dates both immediately prior to, including at least two of the days for which we already received confirmation, and in the days immediately following our booked dates. Despite requests for phone calls on at least four different over the past many weeks to find an agreeable solution, we have yet to receive a phone call from them. They still have our money and we have no answer from them. Given the professional web site presence, I must assume that the working staff is doing everything possible but that the direction provided by Company Leadership is lacking customer focus.

Last summer, when the corona madness seemed to be less, a cottage was booked in the Belgian Ardennes. Contacted for information in December as a precaution. Their answer: "We are busy." Later contacted again, they simply say "You cannot resist and you will not get a refund." Contacted several times for more information. Questions are ignored, responses are repeated and in the end they keep our money because "the venue is just open". Apparently, both governments forbid us from going there is just our problem and they do absolutely nothing to appear customer-friendly or helpful. They just run off laughing with your money. The worst part is; all organizations that would "protect" consumers will casually tell you that they have the right to steal your money.

House booked in Belgium for October 2020 but due to corona crisis, the date had to be moved. Money back turned out not to be possible and rebooking to other accommodation was also not possible according to customer service. Then in February 2021 received an email that a new date must be set within 2 weeks (despite the ongoing corona situation) and otherwise you will lose your money. Ultimately opted to cancel and therefore € 450 poorer. Extremely unprofessional and very customer unfriendly company in every way. E-mails are automatically answered by default and hardly reachable by telephone. Last time we booked with this company, you have been warned!

These are scammers !! We recommend not to book through this site! They do not abide by the terms and conditions and rights for consumers. As a landlord, they cancel the booking themselves and then refuse to refund any money. This is absolutely impossible and it is outrageous that they try. Advice is to avoid this site. But if unfortunately you have already fallen for it, advice is to find out / challenge it legally, this can often simply be done through legal expenses insurance. If the landlord cancels himself, he cannot fulfill his part of the contract and the tenant is entitled to a full refund of the travel sum. They cannot rely on force majeure. They still take all bookings and cancel as soon as money is in.
