We came to Limburg to try the famed pies and found this lovely shop with a window full of them. You could say I had no choice but to buy this beautiful cherry star! The choice was mine, however, to go straight back to my hotel room and greedily eat my second breakfast while watching Lord of the Rings. Would definitely recommend! :)

Always a nice snack while walking along the Maas

This is a nice bakery which is relatively recent in the area. I had previously tried their panini when they first opened, and I highly believe that the quality can improve a lot considering the price. I have also tried few different types of their load breads as well as the ones packed beforehand (one that had raisin, sesame, and nuts is my favorite), and I’ve had good experience with their quality. They also accept Visa card which is great. If they improve some on the quality of panini and other food/snacks they offer, I think it’d be perfect!

Quality of panini was ok, but the workers need to learn to be more friendly. We got 2 paninis and a green ice tea, but it apparently had stevia in it (on the label). My wife told the cashier that she was allergic to one of the sweeteners, and that she had NOT opened it and would like to exchange it for a water. She said okay, but wanted to finish waiting on the other customer. Normally, this might be reasonable, but 1) we had to already wait 10 minutes for them to heat the panini. 2) It was finally ready and sitting on the counter unattended to. 3) My wife did not want the paninis to get any colder, so she took them herself to our table outside, annoyed that the cashier didn't have the consideration to just hand her the water when our food was sitting there getting cold. This seemed to be a huge imposition for the help inside. Then a second worker came outside, and asked about our drink. My wife said she would like a water instead. The lady says you have to pay for it. My wife said "We DID pay for it." Then she said but we can't if it is already open. It WASN'T opened. My wife had already told the cashier it was not opened. She seemed very annoyed and very unfriendly, as if this were a major problem for her. Perhaps this place is very new and the workers are confused about things and this is why they would be in such a bad mood. Perhaps they are bothered by having to work there, but it is impossible to know. I do not enjoy being treated as if I am a problem, when it is such a simple thing to trade the tea for water. What is so difficult about making a customer feel welcome and happy? My wife and I have lived here for over 4 years and live very close to this bakery. We'll let our neighbors know how this went. We will either avoid this place altogether, or wait for friendlier workers. It is where Bakker Bart used to be. The workers at Bakker Bart were always very friendly and kind.
