Bad advice regarding extra mortgage repayment, beware!

Think twice before taking out a mortgage with Argenta, every time you want to have something declared from your home construction account, it takes far too long. It states in the conditions that payment can be made within 7 working days, but experience has shown that the invoice has not yet been assessed within 7 days. For every declaration, it is advisable to call immediately after, in the hope that something will be done. At the moment we are waiting for a payment of a declaration that has already passed the maximum number of days within which Argenta indicates payment, Argenta does not consider this urgent and our supplier indicates that it will only start when payment has been received. Thank you Argenta for the delay we are now experiencing! Response to Argenta: In the meantime I had telephone contact several times, but it did not help. All will take a very long time and I do not think it is necessary to take up to 2 weeks to assess invoices, after which it is still necessary to wait for the payment. Employees are not authorized to make decisions or make urgent payments. Online banking environment works, but is delayed for a few days, so you will eventually have to contact us by telephone to request the current status.

I have now taken out a 2nd mortgage with Argenta for a renovation. It is taking too long for claims to be paid, I am now waiting 9 working days for my money, May 10 I have submitted a declaration of 10K and it is now May 18 that I cannot pay contractors. Had contact several times and get an excuse that it is a bit busier, probably by gaming or netflixing in the corona period (at least that is the conclusion I draw). Outrageous, this involves a lot of money, projects that are at risk because of this. This is not the 1st time I have to wait too long for my money. Despite the low interest rates, I would have taken out the mortgage elsewhere if I could, but unfortunately I am too late for that now. If Argenta is reading this, do something about it here and leave your customers in the cold!

Try to make changes to my mortgage online today, but again the online banking environment is not working. Terribly frustrating and outdated. Tried again a day later. It is not possible to make an extra repayment in your mortgage. Have tried multiple browsers. Amount to be redeemed can be entered, but after that you cannot go to step 2.

Poorly accessible, agreements are not kept. 6 weeks after mail sent no response. But just (well, just ..) calling: apologies, will be picked up immediately. Nothing could be further from the truth, unfortunately ... More than a week later no sign of life. Scandalous!
