The Pieterpad (LAW 9) is the most famous long-distance walking route in the Netherlands. The route leads from Pieterburen near the Groningen Wadden coast to the Sint-Pietersberg near Maastricht and has a length of approximately 498 kilometers, divided into 26 stages. The route runs through the most diverse landscapes and is maintained by the Nivon.
