Went here for a graduation ceremony, so I probably know less than half their story. The conference room was good, and they took Corona measures serious. Probably because we insisted, but anyways. I was amazed by a fake fireplace (see picture). The only problem I had was that there were very few vegetarian and vegan options served with the snacks (bitterballen). It would've been so much better if they served vegetarian mini loempia's. It weird to think that everyone demands meat. They don't seem to understand that meat eaters can also eat vegan snacks, but ugh... This is something which annoys me in this society as a whole.

No blackout curtains, minibar is empty by default and you have to buy the complete set if you like it to be stocked which is kinda weird to me, also the trafos in the ceiling for the lighting make a distinct noise when you have the lights on. Next to that great bed and bath

The hotel room was very neat and clean. The hotel is in a quiet area yet close to the city of Groningen. The employees are as expected very kind an polite at van der Valk. However, during dinner we had to wait for more then an hour for our starter and we where not happy with that. Nevertheles we had a very successful weekend at hotel van der Valk.

Stayed here on a business trip, really high quality establishment with fine details even in the basic room which is by no means basic in comparison to other establishments of its type. Very clean, tidy and comfortable. Would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Groningen.
