Nice restaurant. Helpful staff.
It was really hot that day, but we had a nice seat in the shadow. Waitress recommended the strawberry cake... was a good choice. Wish I could take some of that home with me. Next time maybe when the weather is more Dutch and not as hot as the south of Spain.
My daughter's birthday party celebrated at Smikkel. Smikkel is an accessible, cozy and child-friendly restaurant. It has a unique arcade that is furnished as a go-kart track and with trampolines.
The birthday boy or girl was allowed to sit on a specially decorated birthday chair and the children were given lemonade after which they were allowed to play old-fashioned. Without exception they thought that was fantastic!
As a parent we were relieved by the friendly staff who organized games with the children. The children got a large pancake with syrup and icing sugar, and ice after. As parents, we were also well looked after.
The arcade is spacious, well ventilated and corona proof. Children dress according to outside temperature because the room is not heated. Children between the ages of 4 and about 8 can enjoy themselves here for a whole afternoon. The children had a very nice afternoon. Thank you!
Incredibly cool playground with a large indoor go-kart track and two large trampolines. Beautiful outdoor playground with a terrace, which we will certainly use when the weather is nicer. For the little ones, there is a nice play corner, inside which is close to the dining tables and the go-kart track / trampolines are easy to view from the place where you as a parent can enjoy a good lunch or dinner. Friendly staff who, with a smile, easily adjust the order so that it is to everyone's wishes. Also enough choice for a vegetarian. It's great that a nice place has been added in the area where the kids can play and you as a parent can oversee everything (even from your chair) and enjoy a delicious meal in the meantime. Also a good place to go without children, because it is big enough and there are also seats that are not near the play area. Recommended to go to.
was here in August with my parents and my 2 children. the pancakes were great, I had the twentse one myself, but I also got some from the others and they were very good too. the restaurant itself is also spectacular: a huge indoor area complete with go-kart track and trampolines (super fun for the kids), and also large outside with lots of space (also beautiful in times of corona) and everything to play with. perfect for a family outing. the staff and the owner were also super friendly and made the party complete. thanks! daan
We had a delicious meal at Smikkel! There was something wrong with our tea, but this was kindly and quickly resolved immediately. Super nice! The pancakes and Smikkelburger we ordered were all delicious and well prepared. The owner of the restaurant is also incredibly friendly and earns more customers than he is getting now! During dinner he came by to ask if everything was okay. The inside of the restaurant also looks very cozy and has a kind of western theme. There is also ample parking space and for the children there is a beautiful and large playground. We recommend everyone to come here!
