We have cycled on many 7-10 day cycle tours, but this one was our first "bike and barge" cycle tour. We took the "relaxed" tour and it was very relaxed. About 40km per day at a slow leisurely pace with many stops to see the sights. If you want an easy well supported cycle trip this "Tulip Tour" is a good one. VERY knowledgeable guide, excellent food and we'll maintained and clean barge. Memorable and enjoyable.

I just finished the tour from Bruges to Amsterdam, I think the preferred route because of favorable winds. Our whole crew was fantastic. Our group ranged in age from 9 to 81. Although we faced record heat, our bicycle guide, Piet put together riding and appropriate rest stops so we all felt refreshed enough for each day. The food was terrific. Our hostess was kindly and our skipper guided our barge, the Anna Antal with great skill. 4 had electrics and 11 without. We pedaled at a leisurely pace although you can speed up if you are sure of the way.

We did the Amsterdam to Bruges tour in September 2017. It was a great experience. Our boat was the Anna Antal, and was very comfortable. The crew was excellent. The food was wonderful. Our cycle guide, Marianne, was also great. She knew a lot of the history of all the places we visited, and was very happy to answer all of our questions. The scenery along the way was amazing. Holland is so beautiful. The bicycles provided were very high quality, and well maintained. We had no equipment problems. The cycling was easy. Even those who haven't cycled a lot can do this trip. Even though some days are up to 50km, the pace is quite reasonable, and there are stops along the way to rest (our favorite was the morning coffee stop). All in all, I would highly recommend this tour and Cycle Tours in general.

Once again an outstanding trip . This is my 4th one . The very best way to see the Netherlands. I did the tulip tour this year April 29to may 6 . A little cold but fabulous!! This was my second time on the Liza Marlanne . The accomadation was top notch , food was superb . Captain and crew the best . And last but not least our guide Marjan took such good care of us all . This is the second time I've had her as guide and she is amazing. A veritable goldmine of information. . I'm hoping to do another tour in two years for my 65 th birthday. . The Netherlands is the place of my birth and left with my parents in 1958 to start a new life in Canada. I love going home once in a while to reconnect with my roots and have also brought both of my children to this lovely country. Go ...go ....you'll never regret it .

First cycle tour and opted for Bike and Barge in the Netherlands ( flat rides and real cycle friendly). The trip exceeded our expectations. We were in a group of 24 riders and bike etiquette was an issue and the guide didn't do a a lot to revisit the "rules of the road" over the course of the trip. We learned to stay in the back of the pack but then missed most of the communication from the Guide. Food and accommodations on the Barge were great. Plenty of food and variety of meals. Room and full bath with a radiator/drying rack were perfect for our week of cycling and hand laundry. Started in Bruges and ended in Amsterdam. Cycling in The Netherlands was better than Belgium. Better trails and scenery. Rental cycle was serviceable and fairly comfortable but will bring padded biking shorts next time. Most drivers were tolerant of our big group but its worth brushing up on traffic rules and right of way rules before you start out. Decent mix of excursions and bike time. Some of the stops seemed a bit excessive - Antwerp for 2.5 hours was long particularly since on Monday ( the day we were there) the museums aren't open. Seemed like there was a quota on how long the guide needed to have us out on our bikes. Longest ride was about 30 + miles. Nice snacks waiting for riders each day. Recommend this company. Great staff and services.
