When I make a request in English, I also hope for an answer in English. In addition, it would be nice to get an understandable answer and not a reference to a community regulation to read for yourself. Especially if you do not speak Dutch. I expect the community adviser to be knowledgeable.

The town hall is beautiful, but you get the feeling as a "foreigner" or not Amelander you have "less" rights than the real Amelander. In the end, we were helped well / correctly and kindly by the official in question.

I have a question, we have spent a wonderful ten days on Ameland, for the umpteenth time. we were now in a chalet of acquaintances on rose dunes. the owner pays an annual amount for their dog to the manager of the campsite. it now appears that you can take 10 cats, completely free, but as a guest for a dog for 10 days you must pay no less than 39 .-- euros, while the owner is already paying for his dog and is not present. upon inquiry, this amount appears to be nowhere to be explained and, in particular, an ordinary method of increasing income, a small compensation is reasonable but this is almost 4 .-- euros per day and a decent sprinkler for the manager. for us, however, a consideration what to do when we are looking for a vacation spot again.
