Very nice bakery in Gouda city center. Recently opened and has a very nice assortment of baguettes, sweet pastry, other bread and pizza. Only tried the pastry, this was very good. Still have to try the baguettes/bread.

Having searched for weeks for a real "American" cheesecake, I finally, finally found it at Sams. Drizzled with lemon zest and pistachios, even my boyfriend, who is no sweet lover, managed to wolf down two pieces. Sam has won many awards, in Amsterdam, in Austria, in France, and his bakery is testimony to his amazing skills. His bread is awesome, (the hazelnut and chocolate is really to die for) and his cheesecake leaves you wanting more, and more and more. Finally, real cheesecake at Sam's. The search is over. Thanks for being in Gouda Sam. Really amazing product. Vive la Sam!
