Place for your audio
excellent service, amplifier checked after my report that it was broken. It turned out he was just doing it, no bill.
I bought a cartridge for a record player here a month ago. Although the element was second-hand, it would never have been used. It was also neatly in a plastic box and I never took it out. I wanted to use the cartridge for a Lenco record player to be repaired at Vintage Audio Repair in Dordrecht. After four weeks I was able to pick up the record player again, only Vintage Audio Repair told me that the cartridge did not work. No sound came out. I therefore returned the element to Studio 107 to request a refund. After telling the story to the mister, the suspicion immediately started: "Was this the same element?" he wondered. Afterwards he stated that he had measured the element completely (you should never measure an element with a multimeter, but that aside !!) and that it was not possible that it did not work. "It must have fallen," was the second offensive remark by mister. I understand that someone is critical when you bring something back, but to immediately accuse me of this I just thought rude. He could also have called Vintage Audio Repair for confirmation or seen a copy of the repair form, but was not even asked for it. What an arrogance .... Mister then went back for a few minutes by telephone (with what turned out later) his boss. When he returned, he indicated that he wanted to return half of the purchase amount, more was impossible and I had to call his boss (he put the phone in front of me) if I did not agree with him. "In a store, you also have to go to customer service," said Mister. When I refused and said that his boss is not my boss, Mister became increasingly angry to throw down the money for me. After the umpteenth insult I even called him a "crook". So I can certainly not recommend this case, nice stuff but (as already indicated below) a terrible attitude towards the customer.
Unfortunately, unlike many, I don't have a single good word about this for this company. At the beginning of February I brought here our pre-amplified Dual record player which came from an inheritance. Fantastic beautiful device, but creaked when turned on and needed a new element. I was less than 2 steps inside when the skittish owner was already a kind of derogatory grin. After a few questions on my part it came down to him that he didn't like it. That's fine but I am not here for an opinion or taste but for a repair. Anyway. The repair would take no more than 2 weeks and if the bill exceeded 150 euros, I would be called. After more than 4 weeks I got a call and I was able to pick up my record player. I was glad I had it back for a long time and I didn't ask why it had taken so long. I had to pay 123 euros for an element of (I checked) less than 20 euros and, according to this man, replace a capacitor. Not a specification but just an invoice. It will be, I have no further understanding. A few weeks later, we only started using the record player for the first time. As it turns out, the creak when turned on is (practically) gone, but after a minute the amplifier buzzed over the right output. I got back with that thing and told the problem. That was on a Thursday and I asked the same guy if he could make sure I could pick up the record player the following Saturday. "Yeah ... That should work!" it was said and so I left. The Friday before I went to pick it up, I emailed if I could get confirmation that it had been repaired. No reaction! 4 weeks later I drove to this store and asked what the state of affairs is. He knew exactly what I was talking about but told me that he really had a lot of time in it but couldn't find it. Why not call or e-mailed earlier ??? The record player was taken from a side room and, after I said I wouldn't pay extra euros for it, got it under a layer of dust. In short, no chance! I NEVER go here again! Disrespectful and incompetent! NOT RECOMMENDED!
Wide range, excellent service and excellent coffee!
