Just got back home carrying one of the freshest loaves of bread I've ever bought. Great crunch and hearty.
But, why did you agree to slice the loaf without advice. Perhaps every good baker knows that a fresh loaf is steaming hot and slicing it would only release all the steam and deflate it completely. A word of caution for next time you serve something so fresh!
Good bakery. As well can get a sandwich for take away lunch. I got zalm broodje (3.5€) and actually was positively surprised.
Tried a kind of baguette and was disappointed as it felt like a frozen one...
Just wanted to try the sandwiches at this bakery with my partner. The woman behind the counter was very cold and unkind and didn't feel like making the two sandwiches at all. Also grab the meat / toppings etc. with her bare hands, very undesirable. The result: an old and limp sandwich that tastes like nothing. And no friendly greeting or Christmas wish could be dismissed upon departure, we will go to another bakery from now on.
