Sterk Amsterdam

The selection is amazing. Overwhelming. For me, as a beer geek it's a pure paradise. What I noticed though is that there are also a lot of old beers. Usually not a problem with stouts, porters, sours - but with IPA's it can be disappointing. I found a beer by Finback brewing and I was so exciting to find this in Europe! The beer didnt have a best before or canned date on it so I just trusted the shop that it's fine. The beer I bought (IPA) was 3 (!) years old and it was 12,50€ ... As expected, it was unejoyable.

Excellent stock of imported drinks. My go-to source for Irn Bru, Lucozade and other drinks. Would definitely recommend for a late night binge

Coolest Kiosk ever. Selection is very good. Craft beers from all over the world. International sweets and more, also. IPA, NEIPA, DDH'S is stored cold. Very nice! The "Best before" is often reached by beer outside the cooling areas. Prices are expensive, but okay by a city like Amsterdam.

This place was recommended to us by someone who works in one of Amsterdam's Craft Beer bars. The selection of beers is superb with many hard to find or unusual brews on display. They have a large selection of De Moersleutel which is my currently my brewer of the moment but overall their stock/selection is large & impressive.. The staff were really helpful, particularly the guy who was about my age who helped us with some 1st hand knowledge. One of the 75cl bottles he suggested now has pride of place in our beer cupboard! Thank you Sterk. Will be back in October 2020.

Unreal choice of Beer, possibly the best in Amsterdam. Rang 7 shops to try and find Modelo, Sterk was the only store that stocked it. All staff are great and they've got loads of unusual snacks from the UK and US - including Pop tarts!
