Came here a couple of times for passport pictures (also for a baby). Very professional, really nice pictures. This is the best place for passport pictures I have found in Haarlem so far.
Came here for a passport photo. We did have to wait but then the photographer took the pictures in about 10 seconds. He did catch a good moment and it was reasonably cheap.
In Haarlem, you can expect people in shops to respect you as a customer. It is much better in this respect than Amsterdam. Het Fotovakhuis is an exception. Today, as I looked at frames, the man asked the woman about me and she answered in an exaggeratedly loud voice so that I would hear it as it was much louder than necessary for him to hear, "HIJ KAN NIET KIEZEN!" This was mid. afternoon, not at 16:55 so there was no reason to hurry me or treat me as an unwanted customer or as a tourist about whom she can speak in Dutch loudly because I might not understand. Not exactly gezellig.
