( in my opinion a pro deo lawyer shoud be smart, resourceful, friendly and funny, but above all honest; this lawyer has it all). I know this lawyer for 6 years. He helped me with many problems and also with my case about bijstandsuitkering from the gemeente . When I returned from Bangladesh after 6 months retreat, the gemeente Amsterdam made a big issue out of it. They wanted to know every detail about how I lived in this period and they refused to give me social assistance benefit. My lawyer called the gemeente, he went to a meeting with the gemeente and appealed at the court. In the end the gemeente paid me social assistance benefit. As far as I can remember, I paid him only once € 145 in the past six years. He never bugged me for payents to him. I always get quick and proper response by e-mail from this lawyer. He was nice and honest. In the end we won all the cases. The problem: I was working in a snack container near a metro station. I also lived in the house of my employer who was living in England.
