I would like to share my experience.
When I bought an up gti everything was fine at first.
Agreed with the price, with some agreements that a door damage would be removed.
2 weeks later because of the Corona crowds, the car can be picked up. The car was 2nd hand with just over 9000 km on the clock.
We went to pick him up where I no longer took into account the agreements that had been made in advance. (wrong mine) on a delivery day there are impressions that make you not completely fresh. In my case, you buy the most expensive car so far.
Completely delighted I drove out of the showroom and took a look at how the car works. To my surprise no booklets available. Fortunately I was still in their parking lot so I walked in after which 3 salesmen came to me, I indicated there was no documentation in the car. After which I was fobbed off with that is correct. Everything is going digital these days. Once at home I did homework and asked other up gti drivers what they got with the car. This boiled down to the fact that the documentation did belong to the car.
Once parked at home in the garage, I saw that the dent had not been removed, but that it had not been touched up in the most beautiful way with a paint pen.
Which I threw a phone call at that Monday.
The story explained where I got the impression that there was no firm action. After all, it's just an up!
After calling the seller again and not getting a response. Finally decided to look higher.
I got the management on the line. Once he told my story, he indicated that the car could not be delivered like this. He indicated that he would immediately start working on it.
Received a call within 10 minutes from a man who was going to solve the damage as adequately as possible. Unfortunately they said you have to go to a dealer from us there you get the documents and the damage is made. A loaner car was prepared. Finally thought I'm being heard.
I have nothing but praise for these actions.
Didn't receive a phone call or he was ready afterwards, but called again.
The seller knew nothing and walked outside,
He said faith he's ready. Of course I was very happy that I could receive my up again.
Once there I got a very small book about the up. Without radio explanation or anything like that. I saw that the dent had come out and the car had become polished with the dirt. It was plain to see they either didn't have time or couldn't. so I decided to stop working and let an external company fix the car because I am a real enthusiast myself.
Would like to share my story so that maybe they can put more energy into it in the future. Ultimately, we all have to work hard to buy these cars.
A few things have happened, but I will stop talking about it now because they themselves know where the points for improvement lie.
Sales with handling is seriously below par!
I found management with handling very nice to be understood and work was done immediately.
The result was neither good nor complete.
Which is why I have now driven over the kilometers of the turns because the documentation is not present and interval service messages have been reported too late.
Fortunately, a service point of Volkswagen and Audi (not affiliated with Van Mossel) has taken it upon itself to make it all complete, but I suspect it is true against payment. But then the car is okay again.
