Because of the Corona pandemic, you sometimes have to do yourself a favor because you can make something fun out of it. For example, weeks ago I started looking for a new guitar. It should be a small model, in the style of an OM. After a lot of reading I came across Taylor's new model, the GT. I had set my sights on a GT, now only which one, the normal one, the 811 or koa? However, when I saw Taylor's GT-K21E (koa) at Souman, I was sold. I visited their website several times in a few hours on Saturdays. When a demo of the guitar was published on Souman's website on Sunday morning, I couldn't do anything else and make the decision and buy it, it couldn't be that it was sold right under my nose. After such an expensive purchase, you start to doubt whether it can spend so much money online. I was immediately called by Ard Souman on Monday with some questions about the order and immediately got a first very good service experience. My sense of the right purchase began to grow somewhat. The guitar arrives on Tuesday, fast delivery and well packed for transport. What a beautiful and high-quality guitar, far above the level of the person who will play it every day ;-) Taylor delivers the guitar in a case, but there is little "case candy" or a certificate. I contacted Souman and was called again with an explanation of how Taylor does this. And how I had to proceed with registration etc etc. Without asking, I received an extra, this is a service that is very much appreciated by me. After the telephone conversation with Ard, the feeling of the right purchase is complete. I am happy with the new guitar and can recommend Souman to everyone because of the service I received. This way an online purchase still resembles a real shopping experience. If it is possible again, I will definitely visit to get the real experience.

Since we are looking for a new guitar, we get the tip to go to Souman. When we step in there one afternoon, both gentlemen are busy with customers, but we are immediately noticed and greeted. We walk on and are impressed by the large collection. We are soon approached. This seller listens well and understands our wishes. We receive clear and professional advice. A few guitars are picked that fit our wishes and our budget. Wonderful to be able to play at ease and in complete freedom. In the meantime, we are provided with good coffee. The seller shows commitment and love for his profession. How nice that he is not pushy but modest. The choice is not difficult because of this professional help. Then the Richwood guitar is carefully checked and tuned. It turns out that they expect us back after a few months for a free service! While we pay, there is a nice personal conversation with Ard. That this man has his heart in the right place is evident from the fact that he gives us a guitar as a present for our son, for whom music is everything. We say goodbye and go home with a happy and warm feeling. In the picture below our proud son shows his guitar.

Ordered an acoustic Taylor guitar from Muziekhuis Souman around 1200 today. Already delivered this afternoon. Super fast and friendly service. Good advice with regard to the extra sets of strings that I wanted. No nonsense company with an extensive choice of guitars including Taylor and Martin.
