Exercising at the body lab is never a punishment. It is always fun and you are encouraged at your own level to go a little further. When I come back from the boot camp classes I always feel that I have done something and I have started to feel fitter. The body lab is for everyone. You can bootcamp, but you can also take pilates lessons in a small group, receive personal training, nutritional advice, in short, you will be helped very well by Johan and Dyanne

Never been a fanatic athlete, but the lessons of Johan and Dyanne are always super nice and always come home with a satisfied feeling. Very nice to receive so much personal attention. Highly recommended!

A nice small-scale boot camp where personality and conviviality are of paramount importance. Always go there with pleasure and come home with a good feeling. They think along with you, help where necessary and give that extra push to let you go out the door with a good feeling. Really recommended!

As far as I can remember, I was always "stronger" than other girls. I was uncertain and always believed that I was too fat (which was not true when I looked back). Because I already thought I was too fat, that cake could also be added. That one extra bag of chips didn't matter anymore. Then it just went wrong. Over the years, more and more kilos and sizes were gradually added. I also became less and less happy with my body, so I started eating emotion. The "it doesn't matter anyway" and "it doesn't work anyway" kept coming back and in those moments I sought comfort in tasty things. I enjoyed sports and played fanatically, but not enough to compensate for all that extra food. At good moments I sought help: through a doctor twice to a psychologist, a social worker and two different dietitians. For all five, the main focus was on the thoughts and on the underlying problems for psychologists. Often it went just as well, but as soon as I had eaten something "wrong" in my eyes, the thoughts that it would not work again came back and started again. Sometimes I thought before I spoke to them that it was hopeless, I went to the conversation and then just back to the supermarket. It felt hopeless and I told the doctor. She wanted to try an in-depth trajectory focused on eating disorders. I wanted to try one more thing myself: being trained and monitored when exercising and eating, where there is no direct focus on the entire underlying psychology (because I knew how that worked in the meantime). I approached The Body Lab on the advice of the dietician, received a phone call that evening and was ready the following morning for my first personal training trial lesson. I found it hard, but afterwards I felt so motivated to eat healthily and to be conscious of my diet. Weighing, evaluating and exercising for an hour followed weekly. The weekly weighing is sometimes painful, but it feels very good to see progress: either in a decrease in fat percentage or weight as in an increase in muscle mass. There were of course less days, but overall I was motivated to eat well. I also learned from dietary advice that not everything needs to be healthy and that eating food should certainly be possible, as long as it is in balance. Because of the muscle aches after exercise it felt a shame to eat everything afterwards. I felt more secure and noticed that I was getting stronger. And I also lost weight, but that felt like a side issue after I just felt better in my skin. What is great about The Body Lab is that they offer both sports and nutritional advice. An ideal combination, because losing weight and getting stronger goes through both aspects. In addition to personal training, other forms of sport are also offered, so there is always something that fits. Johan and Dyanne are professional, open, motivating, positive and sober. It is hard work and fun at the same time. After working out or dietary advice, always leave the house with a positive feeling: and muscle pain :-)

Reluctantly, I started at The Body Lab a few months ago. Soon I enjoyed working out once a week. In the meantime that has grown to sport twice a week with a lot of fun! Personal and expert guidance mixed with fun and humor, the perfect combination!
