I.D.A. (Integer Dak Advies)

Various roof repair work carried out in October and November 2019 by Tjeerd Fokkema of IDA Dakbedekkingen. IDA stands for Integer Dak Advies. The hourly rate of Tjeerd / IDA is 60 euros excluding VAT, so that is 72.60 euros including. I had Tjeerd / IDA enabled for the following jobs: 1. Replaced roof gutter 10 meters 2. Replaced roof bay window 4 m² 3. Leakage roof 1. Replacing gutter 2nd floor. Quick action from Tjeerd / IDA. A scaffolding is being built and I see construction company Lolke Hoeksema from Ureterp doing the carpentry work. After three days, everything is neatly prepared and I receive a bill of 1,815 euros incl. VAT, but without specification. I ask for a specification. I don't know what kind of roof gutter was installed, what materials were used, what the rent of the scaffolding cost, how much guarantee I have and how many hours of work it took. Upon inquiry, I seem to no longer receive this, since all bills have already ended up in his container by Tjeerd / IDA. When I ask whether the invoice is correct, I am told that I must have faith in it and that it is not being misused. I now know that the gutter is made of zinc. I don't know anything else. I transfer 1,815 euros to an account in Germany (!). 2. Replace bitumen roof bay window 4 m². The construction company Lolke Hoeksema from Ureterp carries out the carpentry work again. I ask him what his hourly rate is. That is handy to know if I have to call him myself. His rate is 47.50 euros excl. VAT. I receive an invoice from Tjeerd '/ IDA which includes the work of the construction company from Ureterp of 819.12 euros incl. VAT. Now it appears that the carpenter's hourly rate is 60 euros ex. VAT to be charged. When inquiring, Tjeerd / IDA says that this is correct, because he has to organize, among other things, and because carpenter Hoeksema was hired by him, I as a customer must pay a surcharge (offset, so then I also paid a surcharge at points 1 and 3). I also ask about the high disposal costs of the waste of 93.40 euros excluding VAT. The roof of bay window is about 4 m² and consisted of some wood and bitumen. The little waste could have been in the gray container, I think. I don't get a clear answer to this. I sent a message to the carpentry company in Ureterp about these costs, but I received no answer. Finally I agreed with Tjeerd / IDA to transfer the total amount with a discount of 142.16 euros. 3. Leakage roof. Plus, Tjeerd / IDA comes along immediately and takes action. For the carpentry work, he again called in the carpenter from Ureterp to help. After a few hours of searching, the problem was found, repaired and I can pay 725 euros. However, with a subsequent rain shower the roof will leak again. Tjeerd / IDA and the carpenter want to stop by again, but the financial counter simply ticks by 2x 60 euros excl. VAT per hour. There is no no-cure no-pay and there is also no guarantee of work performed and paid for. These people do not have a "heart of gold," but a "heart of money." P.S. Something is starting to dawn on me about 2018 when I called in Tjeerd / IDA for leakage during an expansion. I did not see Tjeerd / IDA during the repair, but a joint person came to complete the work in a matter of hours. I paid 900 euros with Tjeerd / IDA. The jointer itself cost 37.50 excl. VAT per hour., I learned later. Would this hourly rate have also been increased to 60 euros excl. VAT, as a result of which the bill increased to a hefty 900 euros?
