Terrible service from every point of view. No shows, being late, colleagues blaming each other in front of the client. Called them to fix a roof leakage, they laid down a 30 cm wide tar line which did not solve the problem. When I called them back, they found a hole on the same spot they had repaired a week ago. It did not resolve the problem either. When I called them back again, they told me to find another company. Communication to the client is extremely poor, there is no willingness to solve the problem, they just take the money. I am sure they will not put this review on their site, because they keep the right to chose which review to place, which is misleading and doubt it is legal: " Van der Wijck Schoorsteen en Dak zal uw review beoordelen en plaatsen. Wij zullen enkel uw voornaam plaatsen. Van der Wijck Schoorsteen en Dak heeft het recht om uw review niet te plaatsen." But I can find other ways to place my highly negative review or look for legal remedy against this company.

We suffered from leakage because of the heavy snowfall. Leroy was quickly on the spot. He quickly identified the problem areas with a keen eye. We receive a detailed quotation and an explanation of how and what the problem areas concern. Shortly after, three boys followed to repaint the roof over the garage with bitumen and restore the gabled roof of the house. These guys only know what popping is. The result may be there. Matters they encounter during work are neatly presented to you together with an indication of the costs. That way you are always in control. At the end of the afternoon I am invited to the roof to see if the work has been satisfactorily completed. Later in the day I find out that a roof tile is missing on the ridge of the roof. Short message to Leroy, the next morning it will be fixed within five minutes. Van der Wijck may not be the cheapest, but quality comes with an appropriate price. If I have another challenge on my roof, I will definitely call them again.

Unfortunately a very bad experience with this company. Quality poor and sloppy work delivered. Very poor response to emails with findings. Apparently unable to deliver work satisfactorily despite all their fancy talk on their website. They left rubbish behind, broken roof tiles that lay flat and crooked, rubbish in the street, drinking cans in the gutter. I spent a lot of money on a new roof that kept leaking. After an attempt (3 times!) To stop the leak, there was still a lot of misery. I now had to hire another company (again at a cost, of course) to make up for it. This company really shouldn't take on private employment. I don't recommend it to anyone. The two photos already show enough, and then still claim that they delivered it well. You see a huge crack where the rainwater runs straight into the roof. On their website, they pretend to have offices all over the country, but each phone number ends up with the same person. In my eyes they are big bunglers. But worst of all, I think that they find me as a customer annoying and do not seriously respond to complaints. I am very angry and sad at the turn of events. I will post this second response 19-1-2021 after you, as usual, in the negative and far beyond the truth, respond to my review: You state that you have repaid the majority. That is not true, at my own request you have repaid part of the additional costs that I paid to a second company that did what you should have done. You would be pleased if you had repaid the entire amount, but you do not even answer that question on my part. You even dare to claim that you cleaned up your mess. Then we clearly have a different vision of what we mean by tidying up. And I did indeed have that skylight replaced after you visited four times, in vain, to fix the leak. I was so fed up with the messing around on your part that I had this fixed by another company. I can only say again that I have been treated very badly by you and that you are very customer unfriendly.

I can recommend van der Wijck to others. We have removed the entire chimney and the flue and put a new pipe back in it from bg to roof. They worked properly and were readily available. When afterwards I made a comment about a record that was not properly secured, Van der Wijck immediately sent someone to fix this without asking any questions. A very nice company to work with! They think along and want to do a good job.

Very good experience with this company. Neat craftsmen. They keep their agreements and the work delivered is of good quality and for a fair price. Recommended.
