When I first came to Volendam to visit my house, it was like going back in time. Streets that were still scrubbed and the smell of fresh speculaas and smoked eel. I fell in love instantly. The baker became my neighbor across the street and I am still happy with that every day. Besides fresh cookies and pastries, the croissants are REALLY the tastiest in the world. 😍
