MediaMarkt Amsterdam West

Terrible, they don’t care speaking in English, they don’t speak good English, they don’t respect what is signed! I have been waiting and calling to get news about my reparation but no way they respected the time boundaries I signed for. Incompetent and careless.

Since 2 January I ordered a MacBook and it should deliver the next day. Suddenly I get a confirmation email that my order is delivered and I called directly to the co who responsible for that the driver he says that he give to some one downstairs. I called MediaMarkt NL and they advices me to wait few days. After that I call again and the start research each research take two weeks and I back again to same point. Now after more than 2 months I don’t have the laptop that I payed for. And keep back to 0 point. Mediamarkt not honest and the customer service take my nerve. They simply don’t care. Done ever pay directly or even order from them. And after all that now I want my order or money back. Stop steal people

It's good to reopen again even if it partially

Awfully bad service at MediaMarkt today 24 Nov 2020. A friend of mine, a painter, bought a TV for EUR 1000 two days ago. He decided it was too big for him and went to return it today (in his working attire and all). The TV was neatly packed in its original package, unused and new. The blond woman at the customer service (regrettably he didn't ask her name) told him that because he opened the box she would give him back only 800 euro instead of the 1000 he paid for it... yes, 200 euro for an open box. Now, we all know that at Mediamarkt the rule is: 100 day return window and you can try the product in the same manner you would be able to try it at the store. When he tried to reason with her through his daughter by phone (as he doesn't speak Dutch very well) the "lady" in question dropped the phone on his daughter and wouldn't budge. He left with his TV and came to pick me up as "I know the law". I put my fancy shoes and suit on and off we went to another MediaMarkt store as I didn't want to bother with a discriminative customer service at the MediaMarkt in Osdorp. In this other other store I just told them I was returning the TV, they opened the box, tested it and we got the money back. No further hassle. So that 1 star for the woman that decided to play important to someone she thought she could belittle. Needless to say I advised him to buy his new TV elsewhere to avoid the after-service non-care of MediaMarkt.

Good assortment gives it stars, otherwise I would never go back. Staff isn't helping, asking them for help gives you the feeling you are bothering them. Pricetags are missing or simply incorrect.
