Our trip to Suriname, led by Michél Tromp and Henk Hendriks, van July 15, 2015 was as follows: Surinamese museum with guide & Cola Kreek City walk, market and cathedral Commewijne: New Amsterdam, Mariënburg, plantations (including Cynthia McLeod) Education day: Miranda Lyceum, IOL, Unu Pikin Arrival Nickerie via Saramacca / GRONINGEN, Coronie / Totness / dike, Rice producer Manglie Visit L.O. and MULO, Zeedijk, return trip to Paramaribo Jodensavanne, Casipura (including Cynthia McLeod) Eco resort Anaula (inland) Anaula with school attendance in New Aurora Eco resort Anaula Visit National Assembly, possibly. Dutch embassy I have made an incredibly beautiful journey in which the visits to the various schools have left an indelible impression. Of course, there could also be some improvements to the journey. For example, our group thought a visit to Nickerie really had nothing to add as something special to this trip. With an enthusiastic tour guide Michél in our midst, I have seen, tasted, smelled and experienced Suriname. I would go back again soon. It was fantastic. Greetings Ingrid

It was an impressive and educational journey. Education within these two countries, Suriname and the Netherlands, could be better coordinated. The teachers have to exchange more experiences with each other about the lessons, books, internship etc. The best thing about this trip is that the foundation brings you into contact with education in Suriname, but also with the history of Suriname. That you can get an insight into education in Suriname. The children live very primitive in the villages. But they don't know anything else. There is a lot of lack of stuff. The lesson material is very old. All in all it was extraordinary to taste and discover life in Suriname. It's a beautiful country. The people are very cheerful.

I joined the Suriname trip in 2015! It was a fantastic trip, led by our guide Michel: interesting, beautiful, adventurous and with delicious meals. It was precisely the visits to schools and foundations that made this trip more valuable than a normal vacation. I only look back positively!

The VNS Foundation supported me and my colleague during the development of the documentary Thousand Percent. During the collaboration, the foundation has proven itself to be reliable and professional.

In 2008 I went on a study trip to Suriname under the direction of Roy Ho ten Soeng and Jules Emanuels of the VNS foundation. It was a fantastic, unforgettable experience! Can recommend it to anyone.
