Bezorgrestaurant De Beren Capelle aan den IJssel

Placed an order online. There was some confusion about the delivery time, but we were immediately called about it. Everything was delivered on time and was still warm. Super packed in 2 separate boxes that clearly state what is in which box. Thanks for the great vega satay! To be repeated.

Ordered today 1 January via home delivery at the bears. Since I did not receive confirmation of this order, I called the restaurant. Hans answered, I explained the story, after which he broke me under and said that I should not order via home delivery because that apparently went wrong more often. And then this was my fault. Then I told them to offer it, then they shouldn't. (Never personally had any problems with home delivery) He said that he now had to be on the phone for 45 minutes with home delivery on sight with that order. (Nicely annotated) Said I might have had too much to drink last night and the like, kept interrupting me. Overly arrogant and not at all service oriented. The bottom line was that I shouldn't order from home and that I had too much to drink. In addition, he interrupted me every time I wanted to say something. (Then I get very angry too) Eventually hanged. Then called again. Wanted to say that if he called home delivery, he wanted to ask if the delivery could be canceled, otherwise we would be 45 minutes away. Says no he is not logged in on home delivery. (Again on a certain tone) Then my friend called (just calmly, I was no longer) and explained the situation and asked for Hans's last name, so that we can file a complaint. So in the end my friend was told to come over and get it sorted out roughly. He kept interrupting my friend too. I've always been a fan of the bears, never had any problems with home delivery. It is outrageous that I was treated like this and will not order here while that man is still working there!

Go here especially for the fun. Casual atmosphere, around the fireplace fire. The food is mediocre-sufficient. The operation can be better. The bread with herb butter was forgotten, but it was on the bill. The cheese board looked a bit simple with such a spoonful of syrup. The fig bread was not there because it turned out to be.

Unfortunately a big disappointment. I did not expect a 5 star meal, but there was really nothing special about it and certainly not for the price charged for it! The fries are cold, limp and not fried. The chicken wings tasteless and the "vegetables" that I got with my menu were abomidable and the portion was big for a gnome. Even the desserts, chocolate and strawberry mousse are the cheapest of the cheapest . Again I am not expecting a culinary tour de force but I had to pay 40 euros for 2 menus, chicken wings and 2 desserts and then you expect at least something of value for money. A big bear so damper and still pull since we have it have thrown away.
