Ordered a Pokemon cake last week. I did this because it was a success last year. Picked up the cake on the agreed date + time. It all looked nice and matched what was ordered. The cake was smaller compared to the previous cake and this time almost 10 euros more expensive. When we got home we put the cake in the shed. Afterwards it turned out that it was best to let the cake come to room temperature 3 hours in advance. Despite the fact that we had not done this, the cake was very disappointing. This can always happen, of course, but the way this is resolved is far from professional. After cutting the cake I immediately sent a message, but I was told this was because it was cake. The pictures speak for themselves, it looks more like a block of concrete and the pistachio flavor was completely lacking. Nobody ate the cake because this was really not good. Normally I never put something like this online, but the solution is really not possible. The next morning I sent another message. I was told that no taste test (can be found in the general terms and conditions…. But where are they ??) could be done to make a judgment myself, because I threw out more than half of the cake out of disappointment. (a customer indicating that it is not good is apparently not enough). As compensation, a 50% discount was offered on a subsequent order or 20 euros return. I opted for the latter and indicated that I think this way of “solving” is ridiculous. This resulted in a yes / no and then I indicated that I did not wish to discuss further and I wanted to know when I would receive the 20 euros back. That was the end of the contact with Jacky's Bakery. I sent a message twice and asked when the 20 euros would be refunded. This was answered with a self-typed message that she was not present at the weekend. On Monday she copied this message again, very unprofessional! All in all, a big fail. And certainly not worth repeating!

Have eaten a pie from Jacky’s Bakery before, and never a disappointment. Picked up another cake last weekend and what a treat it was! Highly recommended!
