Great moving company. My items were packed and moved quickly and with great care. The operations team was responsive and extremely helpful.

Windmill did a fantastic job helping me move house (from the Netherlands to New Zealand). Their assistance in moving so far, during the global pandemic, was incredible. The pick up crew wrapped each large item, and the boxes, with such care that even my delicate violin and my young son's fiets arrived in perfect shape ...8 months later (the pandemic meant there were shippong delays in Den Hague and Australia, so the shipment spent months in unavoidable storage). I was particularly impressed with their flexibility (I could change the delivery address even after the shipment had left), their communication with the Australian shipping partner, and that there were no hidden costs ...the delivery in Auckland had no additional costs. Communication (in English) was always clear, and even after the shipment was in the partner's care, Windmill was immediately responsive to my questions. They also were very helpful in arranging a quick removal (my son and I had to leave the Netherlands as soon as NZ granted the humanitarian exemption visa, but I could not arrange delivery in NZ without the visa, so we had only a week or two to arrange the shipping). Finally, in Groningen and also here in Auckland, removing team was wonderfully kind and understanding with my active pre-schooler. Thank you for a wonderful and complex move in the midst of a very difficult year.

UPDATE TO REVIEW BASED ON RESPONSE: The signed quote said Toronto because there was NO PLACE for our physical address and Toronto was provided as the closest city as per your request. Our address was clearly provided on the paperwork as requested by you BEFORE the house was packed and moved. WE DID provide the actual address in advance, which is what I have been arguing the whole time. You wouldn't have shipped our goods if you hadn't received the paperwork in advance. NO intention to "smear your name" as you suggest. You are doing that just fine on your own. If you treat your customers poorly in the age of social media, an honest account of the customer experience goes public. No threats, no smear campaign. Simple logic. Poor customer service equals a poor public review. Customer Service = MINUS ZERO I hope this experience will help others looking for a moving company and help them steer clear of the Riff Raff. We had an international move from NL to Canada and while things started off on a positive note it went downhill quickly and they were an absolute nightmare to deal with. 1) We meet with them at the house in NL went over services and set a move date. I went back to Canada, did some back and forth on the quote and got the paperwork back to them once we arrived back in NL approx 1 month later. I called the acct mgr with some questions and he said now that we have the papers we can set a date! WHAT? He said we needed the paperwork before we could confirm the date. I thought the date we picked was set (which is why we bought our plane tickets to be there for the move) But, they honoured the date. He also said he had never done a move like this before and was not sure of all details. Getting nervous.... 2) Tracking info email had the wrong container number, wrong port of entry, wrong date of entry. 3) We get a note from the receiving agent and contract says they won't assemble anything with more than 8 screws, only specific furniture and it will cost extra. Understood, but we paid Windmill for the "all in" service, door to door, disassembly and assembly and packing of goods. So I assumed Windmill would deal with it accordingly. After a lot of back and forth with them arguing that we hadn't opted for that service and me specifically highlighting the bullet a few times to show that we in fact had, it was resolved. 4) Then extra delivery charges because we live just outside the main city we picked on the initial form on their website. When we filled out the form on the website it didn't request the delivery address, just country and city. We are rural. it's the closest city. They didn't ask for our exact address in the quote. We thought they would use the specific "delivery address" paperwork they requested. I have an email saying everything was in order. Windmill refused to admit any error or admit any possibility that they should have checked the paperwork. They said you put Toronto on your request for info form. If THEY request the delivery address in a specific delivery PDF to be filled out, then WHY don't they use it? If they had checked it and said we need to quote more, then fine, it would have been upfront and transparent. Now we are being surprised by this and we've already paid the bill!! So really, it's not DOOR TO DOOR. It's DOOR to customs storage facility. And their response is "ahhhh nooooo.. noooo... come on..... whhhaaat? nooooo.... you did this..... not us....." Very very frustrating and arrogant behaviour. Talk about passing the buck. 5) Definitely NOT committed to customer service. Rather than keep fighting this mess we opted to pay the extra because we would run out of free storage here in Canada and have to pay $300 a day for storage. Too bad - they could have admitted their process was not clear, that they made a mistake in not reviewing the paperwork, eaten the few hundred Euros and ended this on a happier note. They opted to make us feel very #bullied. We haven't received the items yet, and hope they aren't in pieces. What a nightmare. TURNKEY? Not even CLOSE. Steer Clear!

This company has been a totally unprofessional and cheating liars From the beginning of contact with us they have constantly lied cheated and in no way possible provided the services that they promised. Our house hold contents were totally inadequately packed creating a massive amount of extra content that they have endeavored to charge for. Even after declaring a volume of 57.5 M3 on the official bill of Lading to customs they still tried to charge us for 60M3. When during the packing rang to voice my concerns they chose to ignore me. After the company that received the goods also informed them that the actual content was not 60M3 , they still tried to tell me that they had received confirmation from their receiving agents that indeed there was 60M3 however through overpacking they were prepared to reduce the volume by 10m3. Please stay clear of them they are liars and cheaters Also after arriving and endless argument over the volume that they had inflated by bad packaging to an amount of 10 cubic meters that they tried to charge us 2400euro more than the quoted price leading to an excess storage costs of over $2000 because they would not release the goods if they did not get payment for the over charging Absolutely stay away from the company!!!

I have been working with Windmill since 2012 sending International shipments from Malaysia to the Netherlands for my clients. 5 star service everything handled in a timely manner with great co-ordination. Kees and his team offer a top service. Highly recommended.
