Ambassador City Centre Hotel

Although we read many negative reviews we decided to give 4 stars for the room we had. In the upper floor the bathroom was clearly renovated ad looks different than the one in the other review. The room was clean but a bit small and we were able to sense the smell of the restaurants nearby. Anyways, it was a good deal for us. The location couldn't be better for a day trip! Considering the service everyone was polite and friendly. The wifi worked without any problems. Yes, the lift and some of the carpets in the main area look a bit rough but that didn't occur in our room.

We didn't have a great start there, as the room we got was different from what we expected (because of booking translation, not because of the hotel itself) but thankfully the staff was amazing and helped us find a solution. The kindness and professionalism of the staff made our stay very enjoyable. The room we eventually got was axing and we are very thankful to the staff. The breakfast was great, served by very kind ladies.

Nothing special to mention, negative or positive. Its good, but average.

The location is perfect but the decors inside are a bit creepy to be honest. I don’t understand why so many old furniture in the hallways and elevator could do with a little renovation.

Upon arrival, the check-in was quick and efficient. I walked into my room to find a lady getting dressed and shocked to see me. The next room was on another floor and adequate though very basic. It was freezing cold as the radiator had been turned off. Bathroom was modern(ish) but a bit mouldy in places. Wind whistled around the 'balcony' all night, broken only by the regular chiming of a clock in the distance. Breakfast was fine but not included in the room cost, so an extra €15 or so.
