I rent cars from Budget elsewhere all the time and have never had a problem. At the Schiphol location though, they identified additional damage, which was actually already there - it had been noted on the damage report at the time of collection of the car. I was unable to dispute it at the time as I had returned the car before the location had opened up, so I only got the email a day later with the additional charges. I disputed the damage report to no avail, they just stated that their system reported additional damage... terrible customer treatment. I think Budget are great in the US, but don`t rent from them at Schiphol airport. I'm unsure if this is a franchise location just using the Budget name.

Service at the front desk was okay, but they printed me a wrong contract not stating that the full amount of insurance is included and then they would not pay my money back for the false contract they created. This is absurd. Indeed hidden lies and prices in the agreement. Would not recommend.

It's the first time I ever met such friendly and kind staff during the take over and the return of the vehicle. Car was new (Seat Arona) and with only 1000 km. Everything was fine and nothing more was charged after the return.

Don't rent a car at Budget (Avis) Schiphol airport Amsterdam! First, my car was delivered to me without antenna, so for the rental week I could not listen to radio (traffic information), Then I deposited twice the amount that I had to pay according to the final invoice. Despite several reminders, a refund was never made. Finally, I received a 41 euro traffic ticket for driving 85 km/h on a 80 km/h road. I am ok with that, but because of this ticket Budget (Avis) also charged me almost 50 dollar 'administration expense' of the ticket. Budget (Avis) Schiphol airport Amsterdam sucks big time. Rent somewhere else!
