Mayong Payong Mountain Peak Park

Nice observation area overlooking the sea!

Been here twice. I will always visit this place every time I go home to Masbate. I remember the first time i went here, there was like a meteow shower. I saw several falling stars and I made a wish. That wish came true. So, Mayong Payong is a magical peak to visit. You can stay here, morning until dawn. It is clean. Peaceful. And beautiful. Entrance fee was around P20.00. You can walk, or rent a motorcycle to climb up. The view from the top is really amazing. Be sure to go during summer.

One of the best part of Masbate for those looking for solitude and communing with nature. Too bad the place is slowly converted into a modern resort-type hideaway. The rustic and laid back feels of the place should have been kept while improving the facilities like comfort rooms, cottages and garbage bins. Sadly, many tourist just litter the place with plastic wrappers.
