Been here multiple times to pick packages from the US.
When picking up packages in behalf of someone, you must furnish a photocopy of your ID and the addressee's. Everything is somehow smooth as "bureaucracy" goes. The problem is when you go to the photocopy "counter" and it goes down from there - either the person manning the machine isn't there or the person who is sorting some mails is also the one manning it and that takes a lot of time and stress as you can imagine.
So, if you are going here to claim a package, photocopy your ID's before coming to this place. Then after that, everything is manageable - employees are courteous and friendly. The security guards are helpful.
The problem with this place is the system has never evolved to be efficient as other countries. And experiencing logistics from Singapore and the US - it was like night and day.
I remember this place when I had to look for my SSS salary loan. Staff are courteous and approchable. And explained everything in black and white how the cheque gets mailed from one place to another.
Calling several times the posted number and other number, but unfortunately to my dismay, nobody's answering.
My Postal ID was with them for delivery per PhilPost but it's more than two weeks already in their custody.
Hope the agency will improve its service very, very soon even though it's GCQ in Metro Manila. You are way, way left behind compared with other government agencies.
Processing verification, speed in delivering and sorting mail, and organization in line queues are poor. It would take you hours to have your check verified, whether or not it's available, and more often than not, would then be disappointed to learn that it's not yet ok'd for release.
I'm still waiting to answer my call. But no one answering. . . Because my item is almost 4months. . My Gush... What kind of service you have. . . .
