Mantigue Sanctuary

Its small island divided by fishing community at the back and opposite side is private tourist..Shoreline formed from mixed crushed corols and sand. Need improvement in terms of cleanliness but it still worth a visit for a crystal clear water and stunning mountain backdrop.

I've been there only once. So we departed from the Mantigue departure port with my whole relatives, friends, and the French fariner. 6 by 6, we rode by boat. The sanctuary is still nice and clean. The fresh water is also light blue, the sand is also white. More nicer than White Island!

I've been here twice already. And I love the island. It has improved. More cottages were installed. The first time I visited here was on November 2014. I was able to explore the fish sanctuary through snorkeling and by riding on a glass-bottom boat tour. It was a great experience indeed. The second time was on May 2019, this time I was able to walk around this tiny island 😊. I found a small and unassuming community here.

Beautiful but a bit neglected this little island.

The provincial government of Camiguin make more efforts to develop and make this island into a tourist spot and at the same time declare the area as a marine sanctuary. I love it here compared to White Island, because Mantigue has some vegetations like a small forest in the center of the island, there are few cottages that you can rent for you to spend more time to relax and enjoy.
