Mangayaw Falls

Going to and from Mangayaw Falls located in Brgy. Guadalupe, Libacao, Aklan has no direct bus/jeepney route. From Kalibo look for Libacao bound terminal located in Toting Reyes St. near Chooks to Go. Every 20 minutes interval, bus/jeepney is schedule to go to Libacao proper at a fare of P45. Advice the driver to bring you up to St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish Church, from there look at the motorcycle line-up/terminal bound to Mangayaw Falls. Choose the driver that's familiar to the terrain and will serve as your local guide up to the falls. Negotiate the rate and if the service is good why not giving a tip for a job well done. In my case, the driver didn't demand a higher price. When I got to the place, I was mesmerized by the greenery surrounding the falls. I heard continuing sounds of crickets (or other fauna), I'm not sure what was that forest sounds, but it's nice hearing that in the wilderness. Since I liked to see where the water is coming from, I trekked a short distance and found the waterfalls with deep pool. Some locals there kept on plunging and it's deep indeed. They're nice to me and in return I made them models to my photos to be uploaded here in Google Map. My experience is awesome. For tourists planning to visit the place, kindly don't litter. If you find some trash, pick-up and dispose properly. Since the place has no entrance fees that will be our contribution to preserve the beautiful waterfalls.
